A truly exceptional piece, born from history and shaped by nature — this is not just furniture, it is a treasure.

A Shropshire Legacy. Sourced from 160-year-old Burr Oak, felled near Bishops Castle, Shropshire, this remarkable timber has been patiently air-dried for 60 years. Six decades of slow, natural curing — a timescale almost unheard of today — has created stability, depth, and a richness of character that simply cannot be rushed or replicated.

The Burr — Nature’s Masterpiece. This table features a complete burr with no straight edges — every contour follows the organic, natural silhouette of the tree itself. The flowing, live edge frames the spectacular patterning perfectly: swirling grain, deep figuring, and the dense, intricate burr markings that make this timber so prized. Every angle reveals something new — light dances across the surface in shifting golds, ambers, and rich chocolate tones.

The surface is finished to veneer quality — silky smooth, crisp, and breathtakingly detailed, yet entirely solid timber. Protected with hard wax oil, the finish safeguards the wood’s beauty from everyday use while keeping its natural, tactile warmth — no thick artificial coating, just the oak, enhanced and preserved.

This is a one-off piece — as rare as it is unique. Burr oak of this age, provenance, and completeness is scarcely seen, and a table with zero straight edges and such unbroken natural character is virtually irreplaceable. A statement centrepiece to cherish, and pass down through generations.
