This elegant piece of Shropshire sycamore bears the distinctive, highly prized spalting markings that make it truly one of a kind. Delicate, dark, wandering lines trace natural patterns across the surface—artistry formed entirely within the wood itself—perfectly accentuating sycamore’s characteristically strong, tight, luminous grain. Every inch exudes quiet, enduring beauty: pale creamy hues are softly contrasted by intricate organic veining, making no two sections exactly alike.

Felled from timber over 70 years old and carefully air-dried for 4 years, this board has been given time to mature, stabilise, and reveal its full depth of tone and texture. Solid, refined, and ready to take centre stage, it is the perfect vessel for showcasing fine cheeses and generous spreads—an exceptional piece to grace your table and delight guests at every gathering.
