Scottish Oak from the village of Winchburgh (where Niddry farm is located).

Clear resin inset with Abalone shells was used to fill the void around the natural knot in the oak.

This was a wedding gift for great friends of ours. The oak was chosen as the groom, Rich, and I cycled past it in 2018 on the Lands End John O’Groats ride and the Abalone shells are a nod to his wife, Hannah, and far flung places.

A gift that will last a lifetime and always be a talking piece.
